Further development at Ephemerata Weather Radar

One of my projects within Ephemerata has been the Ephemerata Weather Radar Project. This project has taken on a life of its own, due in a large part to the efforts of Darryl House of ItWorks.com, the programming component of Anthony Watts’ (“Wattsupwiththat”) Intelliweather company. Darryl is the principal programmer and designer of Storm Predator, the software package Ephemerata Weather Radar uses as the primary engine of the project. Storm Predator is undergoing a program of continuous development, and I and others have been working closely with Darryl to expand and refine the capabilities of the software. The expanded Golden Horseshoe -Greater Toronto Area alert system is a product of that collaboration. Working with Darryl has been a personally satisfying experience; we share a number of interests and a high degree of collegiality, even though we are 3000 miles apart. This is the highest form of the internet. Darryl and I “chat” as if we’ve known each other for years. A nice Christmas gift for your resident housegeek would be a copy of his program, Storm Predator.
